France, July 16th 1916. The battle of the Somme is underway and the untested and outnumbered 1st South African Infantry Brigade are sent in to hold the exposed British right flank in Delville Woods. Forced to fight down to the very last man to hold their line against constant attack from a German Battallion of 8000 men for six days. This is a heartfelt story of courage, bravery, friendship, sacrifice and loss.
